The Country Fire Authority from Victoria was very quick to offer their assistance to New South Wales. It has been a long search for photos of CFA vehicles. I had followed their progress in the media and on the CFA website for days to no avail. Prior to my first CFA photos that can be seen below, I drove from my home in Penrith to the following locations over various days (some more than once) in what I have dubbed "My Hunt for the Red CFA" (ala The Hunt For Red October):

• Blue Mountains
• Hawkesbury
• RFS Headquarters at Rosehill
• Pennant Hills
• Marsfield/North Ryde
• Heathcote

These photos of a CFA District Mechanical Truck for the maintenance of tankers and appliances were taken in the carpark of Penrith Leagues Club on 06 January 2002 in very dull floodlighting. The next day, more photos were taken under rainy skies at the same location.
